This system makes not only abseiling easier but it also makes it possible to lift heavy loads, allowing the linking up of branches. This is done by use of the drain brake drum with the rake Winch. The Winch has a step-up gear (ratio of up to 1:44), whereby loads weighing tons can be raised by the simple rotation of the crank!
