Making A Purchase

Placing an order or making an enquiry could not be easier. Just browse our Online Shop and add the items you wish to buy to the shopping basket by clicking the button adjacent to the product or, in some cases, at the foot of the page. You can change the quantity you need in the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete your order.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. Your online "receipt" and automated email are not an order acceptance; we will formally confirm your request by a subsequent e-mail or phone call and agree delivery details with you. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

You can, if you wish, choose to pay for your order by credit or debit card. This element of the transaction will be carried out 'off-line' and your credit card receipt will be included with your shipment. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped.

Shipping And Handling

UK Delivery

We do not operate a minimum order policy, you order what you want - no more, no less. For all orders over £30 ex. VAT in value, delivery is charged at £9.98 + VAT. Below this value we will charge £5.50 + VAT for delivery. Where possible we will dispatch for next-day delivery (order before mid-day and delivery should be before 4pm the next day, if we have your goods in stock).

If you have any specific delivery instructions (ie: boxes only, no pallets) please let us know and we will do all we can to accommodate them.

EU / Overseas Delivery

EU Overseas orders are supplied on an ex-works basis. We will agree shipping charges with and / or liaise with your nominated freight agent to ensure that your order is despatched in a timely and satisfactory manner. Client is responsible for all costs and duties applicable.

Delivery Schedule

We'll despatch your order within 24 hours if we have the products you have selected in stock, we normally do. If a product is out of stock we will contact you to discuss the likely delivery time or an alternative product.

Purchases for delivery in the UK or mainland Europe are usually despatched by Royal Mail, Parcel Force or, in some cases, 'next day' courier and will normally be delivered to you within a few days of despatch. Delivery times may vary, expecially for large or heavy goods. When your order is despatched we will advise by telephone or email. Orders for dispatch to destinations outside of the UK are supplied on an ex-works basis and as such we will require the name of your nominated freight agent.

All goods are carefully packed and shipped as soon as they are available to fulfil your order.

Back Orders

If any of your ordered items are not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed or called with details to ensure that you are kept up to date with the progress of your order.

Tax Charges

VAT at the current rate applies to all orders dispatched for delivery within the UK and will also be charged on any EU order where we do not have the customer's VAT number.

Credit Card Security

Payments made on-line are taken securely via SagePay and / or PayPal. Treeworker will never see your bank or credit card details.

Returns

Your right to Cancel

You have the right to return the goods within 14 days of receiving them. We request that you take good care of the goods and their packaging and return the together with their original packaging and, preferably, packed in the original packaging. The buyer will be responsible for the cost and safe return of the goods. When this is satisfied a refund will be made within 14 days of receipt of the goods or proof of despatch of the returns. The original delivery charge will also be refunded but only the standard delivery charge for your territory, so if you opted for express delivery (where available) the full cost will not be refunded. In the case of faulty goods the cost of returning the goods will also be refunded.

The Buyer must obtain authorisation from Treeworker before they attempt to return any goods. Please email us via our contact us page stating your order number and we will send you by return a Returns Acceptance email, which will contain a "Returns Number". Please do not send returns without having received this notification email and "Returns Number", or the return may be refused and returned to sender.

Where the above criteria for return of goods is not fulfilled, the Buyer agrees to pay for any loss or extra costs incurred.

To return any products to us, please:

  1. Make sure to tell us whether you want an Exchange or Refund.
  2. We recommend that you obtain proof of posting since we cannot be responsible for packages lost in transit.
  3. Pack the items safely, enclose the invoice and send it back to:
