The Blockdriver is the brainchild of Reg Coates of Coates Tools, arborist of 17 years, who travelled & worked throughout Australasia before settling back in his hometown of Manchester, UK. He recognised the need to make certain daily tasks, which climbers undertake, safer & easier; so began the journey that has become the Blockdriver.

The Blockdriver is designed to aid section felling of large diameter timber in confined spaces. It allows large sections to be moved under complete control with absolute minimum effort. The Blockdriver is aided by the use of the side lifting lever tool that raises the wood comfortably, enabling the insertion of the Blockdriver.

This tool will become standard equipment for all who undertake periodic felling of large trees in confined areas.
